Color

Today's experiments in color were not a huge success, but I ended up with two really rough color versions of that temple courtyard. I think I still have to figure out colors I really like, but I'm at least getting closer. Tomorrow!

Backgrounds

Here's some stuff I've been working on for class in various states of finishedness. I've got a bathroom for a king, a temple courtyard thing, and a fisherman's cottage. I leave it to you to figure out which is which. If you can't tell, I've really failed.

Cliffside

Mr. Jones goes to work

I don't know where I'm going with this - just messing around.

What? More?

A bird and a messy painting that I just went with as it happened. I was just playing around in Painter, but I rather like it.

Bull

Apparently this guy whips bulls. And judging by the awkward perspective, they are pygmy bulls. Oh well. I was trying out some composition stuff.

Elephant!

Painting on Andrew's Cintiq! I want one so bad

Zebra

Winter fox and dumb bird

Brrrr it's cold out there. I was working on a portfolio project in charcoal and did this doodle on the side.

And here's a dumb bird. Started out drawing Big Bird and it morphed into this.

Close call!

Small octopi are often fiercer fencers to make up for their diminutive size.

These two are just little warmups done from pictures on Hans Bacher's Photography blog.

Alleyway

I'm just posting this because it's been such a long time since I posted anything. Just a quick little sketch before bed.

I think I'm going to turn on the followers thing on the side, since apparently I have one! So if you want to also follow, go for it. It would be exciting to have more than one. :P

Phil's Advent

Phil's advent is moving to its own blog - it's easier that way - then they aren't scattered all over this one.

Advent: Day 2
